Reçu aujourd'hui un petit mail de Gideon, le créateur de la 1541 Ultimate, i.e. le top aujourd'hui en matière de solutions de stockage pour Commodore (il faudra un jour que je parle des différentes options, MMC64, MMC-Replay, MMC2IEC, SD2IEC, etc… la scène Commodore reste vraiment incroyablement active!)
Il travaille sur la deuxième fournée de cartes, livrables en Octobre, et annonce qu'elles auront la possibilité d'intégrer une interface Ethernet, compatible avec la RR-NET! Il n'est pas encore trop tard pour commander…
You are receiving this E-mail because you signed up on the pre-order list of the 1541 Ultimate, Batch 2. As you might have read on the website, the second batch is (finally) in production. To be accurate, components and PCB have been ordered, and I am currently exchanging data with the assembly line, so that they can program their machines. All in all, the production takes two months, so I can start shipping again by the beginning of October.
In the mean time, I managed to get Ethernet to work (RR-net compatible)! This means that I can offer an all-in-one board that offers networking capabilities as well. I can offer this extension for ? 39 on top of the price for the 1541U+ itself (? 158 in total). If you want to have networking enabled on your 1541U+, please go to the site, view your order and find the button at the bottom of your information to change your order to the ethernet version. Please note that you need to do this before August 20, otherwise I will not be able to have a sufficient number of ethernet units produced.
Ordering components in these large quantities requires a large investment on my end. Therefore I have officially started to accept payments for these boards per today! Please find payment info on the site, under ‘order info’. Even though I can’t ship before early October, early payments are very much welcome.
